One lazy night, while on my way of waking up at around 6:30 pm. I heard a loud voice talking about the vehicular accident. Curious enough to find out, we rushed to the market where the accident happened. We're all shocked when our neighbors, a mother and a young child both lying on the road lifeless hit by by uncontrolled jeepney. Luckily, the father had survived in the accident. According to the story, the family went to the market to buy foods to eat.
Hopeless whose to blame for the tragic accident, the father almost lost his normal thinking. Lost of loved ones in a family is very painful part for the father. Thanks to his other siblings, friends and relatives who has been always present to help him recover from his traumatic experience.
The father was advised to leave their family's house to avoid memories of his wife and youngest daughter. After he finished his medication, his relatives insisted him to work abroad to forget the tragic incident. Follow ups and supportive counseling were done by their born again Pastor. Family support from his other siblings would play an important role to gain back his confidence to continue to live.
At present, the father is now working abroad and from time to time he visits his children in the Philippines. Acceptance on the part of the father would help him move on to his new life.
